I wonder if you and I are the only ones who feel this way.
Nope. I say that all the time. I've lived in Ohio and Montana but I'd love to experience almost every state. We're eying a move to Michigan (which I love and may be our last move if it works out) but we've also considered North and South Carolina and New Hampshire. I'm over the western half of the US. I like water too much to live out here.
If I had a choice, probably the Carolina's or Tennessee. Wouldn't mind Texas or California either.
I'm with you on the Carolinas or TN. California - lived there done that - just the expense alone is not worth it even taking the state Government into consideration. Texas: thought about it - too hot but cheap enough. Maybe San Antonio.

It's good to know. It seems like most people on these forums see their own preferred cities/states as flawless, and I'm just not so easily convinced.
Even though I've never been there, I've been really interested in Minnesota recently. From what I've seen/read it seems like a really pretty state. And I've heard that Minneapolis is very walkable, and that's a big thing for me.
Pennsylvania. Rural, south central Pennsylvania. I LOVE the Gettysburg/Chambersburg/Biglerville area. So rich in history and natural beauty.
Another plus: they still get winter so people aren't flocking there just to avoid shoveling snow as they are to the Southeastern states right now. The only people flocking there are history fanatics like me.
Arizona and New Mexico.I fell in love with it when I went there on a summer vacay.I love the winters in Phoenix.I have always wanted to live in New Mexico.
I realize the OP is 6 years old, but the poll excludes Missouri and Minnesota (and who knows what else), and has South Dakota twice.
