Have to agree it's Cali, Tejas & NY in that order. It's possible that Texas could surpass Cali in 15-20 years if the creative people in Cali decide the cost and taxation of living there is too high to stay and start leaving in droves.

Kansas. Imagine how funny the US would look with a big hole in the middle. I guess maybe it could be another Great Lake, but still, it's better to have something there. We can grow wheat there, instead of whitefish and smelt. We don't really use the other Great Lakes all that much. If there was another state between Wisconsin and Michigan, that would be pretty useful. But you might as well leave Kansas where it is, instead of moving it up where Lake Michigan is.
