I currently live in western new york and the winters hear are just awful for my hair and face cus of dry skin issues that really spark up. Once it gets from June to mid- September I can manage it about 5 times better so it got me thinking that humidity is good? But I also heard that humidity could be bad too so what would be the best place? Florida? Are warm but dry places like arizona bad too?
Wow, in Arizona my skin turned to gator hide. Almost. Not only your heels take a beating, but sinuses, hair & nails. I noticed my nails stopped getting ridges after I moved out of the desert. This past winter, w/ the furnace on, wasn't much better. Not sure the answer except humidify your home/space.
Definitely Florida, and somewhere in the southern third of the state ( a few hours south of Orlando) and as close to the southern end as possible. It still can get rather dry and even cold (at or below freezing) in Central Florida for a couple of months, versus further south where it rarely freezes and the humidity remains at higher levels due to having water nearby on three sides. The Miami/Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood/Pompano Beach metro area and it's suburbs, or the Naples/Fort Myers area on the Gulf coast would be the places to focus. I'm a native of Hollywood, FL and never dealt with any drying issues like I did when I moved to the Northeast US or in Central Florida where I live now.
Not to be a homer but I have heard from people that the northwest is a good place for people with skin sensitivity? Not totally sure but I would look into western Washington and Oregon, especially along the coasts!
I was born and raised here in Arizona. WORST STATE for dry skin probably out of the entire country. I have had what seems to be incurable dry skin on my arms, legs, heels, everywhere. My skin practically feels like the desert I live in. Anything with some percent of humidity would be better than here. Remember that the entire state has about zero percent all year round.
The south sounds good, humid and hot. PNW would be good too because it rains so much. I go to New Orleans a lot and my skin feels like a miracle compared to what I'm used to.
I'd also like to note that you might not be getting enough water on your own. Try drinking some more water during the day and see if that helps a little, but it won't solve your problems.
So definetly not Arizona. Does that include West Texas and parts of california too? New Mexico?
How many bottles of water do you drink to make it better? And what are some other things that people eat or drink that make it worse?
