I doubt there is any major US city where soccer is more popular than football.

^ The Sounders are less popular than the crappy Mariners are. Mariners TV ratings are higher than the Sounders, and they play 162 games.

In Seattle, the Sounders are #5 behind:

Seahawks
Mariners
Huskies
Sonics (yes, Seattle has loads of Sonics fans sitting around thinking of what city's team to steal if there's no expansion)

If you count the Huskies for football and basketball, the Sounders drop to #6 in popularity.

but are Seattle and Portland cities that are full of people that believe soccer isn't a sport?

I mean I found that a lot of Americans in the south think soccer is a lady sport.

None. Does not exist, except maybe a small border town.

You are clearly underestimated the popularity of the Portland Timbers. I would boldly say that they might be even more popular than the Portland Trail Blazers(NBA).

The mariners dont rank above the huskies, and in TV ratings are you sure the mariners rank higher then the sounders? Im sure in TV revenue they do but I would think the sounders TV ratings are fairly high. I mean I see plenty of people walking around in sounders gear all through town and I think the sounders made more money last year then the Mariners and spend way less. When the mariners are hot then yeah they are above the sounders, but the sounders still have a loyal fanbase, maybe the most established in pro soccer in north america.
