That's a good well rounded list. DC is underappreciated for it's beauty. There is an exceptional amount of green space there and it feels like a big city in a park. Pittsburgh also has one of the most unique topographical settings in the country with the hills and river confluence right at downtown. San Diego is also very pretty, nicest landscaping and waterscapes I've seen in a SoCal city.

Agreed, Sedona along with Oak Creek Canyon, I actually appreciate the beauty there more than the Grand Canyon. Tucson also has a beautiful setting and I like the desert vegetation there and the surrounding mountains are stunning.
Walk around Capitol Hill in spring and try to tell me otherwise. When I was there this January, it snowed overnight and I really don't think I've ever seen a more beautiful human settlement in my life than Washington under fresh snow.
All the things the OP listed (mountains, ocean, hills, etc.), LA has all of that just within city limits...and all nicely interwoven with the man-made environment. Don't forget all the wildlife (mountain lions, bears, peacocks, etc.) that roam around here and in its natural habitats. One of the best whale watching places in the U.S. is Southern California. Did you know LA County has the most and diverse bird species in North America? Expanding out to the entire metro area, you get more of that plus islands, deserts, forests, waterfalls, rivers, lakes, wetlands, etc. The geographical, topographical, ecological, and climatic diversity of LA metro is incredible. The blend of LA's landscape and cityscape is really something to behold.
I would also say SF, Seattle, SD and much of the major Western U.S. metros are very beautiful.
San Francisco while Seattle has some more majestic peaks close, SF has more stuff right around the city proper ... redwoods, marin headlands, napa valley, sonoma, cliffs up the coast towards bodega, larger beach areas, etc.
