I mean the state as a whole. Like North Florida is similar to Alabama and Georgia, but the rest of state is not for example. Here's a few I know off the top of my head.

Georgia/Florida
Alabama/Florida
Oklahoma/Colorado
Illinois/Kentucky
Tenessee/Missouri
Pennsylvania/West Virginia
California/Oregon. Far North California is basically Oregon anyways, lol.

Your suggestion of Oklahoma/Colorado is a very good one.

There is a great disparity culturally between Oklahoma and Colorado. Oklahoma is much more like Arkansas and North/West Texas when it comes to culture.

No. There are way too many ties between the two. The state bordering Texas that we have the least in common with is New Mexico, and I'm pretty sure most Texans would agree.

The only ties are in Eastern Texas from Tyler-Longview to Houston-Beaumont.

Galveston is like a miniature New Orleans.

Texas as a whole is far different from Louisiana.
