I saw more police officers today while driving around than I have in three months. In fact, I hadn't seen any cops for about three months. I mean, I see them when there's an accident, and they are there officiating, but I have not seen them "laying in wait" with their radar equipment. Is it because a major holiday is approaching, and they want to have more of a presence on the road? I live in Northern VA.

Have you noticed more police out and about in your territory?

Nope, but would be happy to see more to ticket the speeders in residential areas.

Sure, wish cops on everyone. Maybe next time, they'll be on your street, targeting you.

There always seems to be a huge police presence in the DC area, moreso on the Maryland side, but there always is, haven't noticed anything different

Actually i live in Alexandria and there were a lot of cops on Duke St these past few weeks. Sadly i got a very expensive traffic ticket for running a red light. But i'm glad these cops are trying to do something about these horrible drivers.

San Antonio has had an increase in police although it is just 10 days after christmas.

i didn't see too many police the 22nd-24th like i usually do.

My speedster cousin was saying "ohh all the cops are gone now cause christmas is over," i think that wrong answer may cost him $300.

I have never been bothered by the police. I have much respect for American police. Go to Russia if you want to fear the police.
