I'm trying to think of the states in my region (midwest and great plains) that have some (granted someone made a nebraska list already).

South Dakota. All I can think of is Tom Brokaw

Iowa- Ashton Kutcher, Elijah Wood, Tom Arnold, Lolo Jones, Shawn Johnson, Gabby Douglas, Herbert Hoover was born there.

Kansas- Dwight Eisenhower, Amelia Earheart, Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, Fred Phelps (infamous, I know), The Koch Brothers (again infamous), Kirstie Alley, Martina McBride. The band Kansas is from Topeka

Missouri- Harry Truman, Jesse James, Brad Pitt, Jon Hamm, John Goodman, Walt Disney (Main Street USA is based on Marceleine Missouri, where he lived for a time), Yogi Berra (grew up in STL),

Minnesota- Prince, Jessica Lange, Garrison Keillor, Jesse Ventura, The Coen Brothers, Winona Ryder

Wisconsin- Frank Caliendo, Tony Shalhoub, Tony Romo. Kind of surprised there aren't more here.

Oklahoma- Garth Brooks, Reba Macintyre, The Flaming Lips (at least their lead singer), The all american rejects, Chuck Norris was born there, as was Ron Howard.

Colorado- John Denver, the Fray, The Lumineers, John Elway still lives in Denver, Amy Adams, Tim Allen was born here, but is more identified with Michigan since I think he only lived in Denver until he was like 7 or something.

Can't think of any for North Dakota or Wyoming.
