It's the rainiest month but one of my favorites. Snow starts coming down the mountains and the deciduous trees are full of color. Tourists are gone and after the PFDs come out, many of the locals go south to warmer climates for vacation. So, those that remain have the town to themselves. Very relaxed, colorful and full of change.

Here in New Mexico, best time of year for weather. Warm sunny days, leave the windows open for good sleeping weather with cool nights. Also...Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta!!!!!!!!!

cooler temps, beautiful foliage, the throngs of out of towners who invade our farms for apple picking, corn mazes, haunted hay rides, cider and donuts (yes I like that).

Here is a picture of my town in the autumn:

Gorgeous Picture above, am pretty sure many would not conjure that image for Jersey which is sad as the state has many natural aspects that are very pretty

Basically I say this above with the weather - it has been gorgeous weather in these parts lately and looks like it will continue for some time

80 highs with no humidity and lows into the high 50s with crisp air - awesome weather for October and so much energy in the air and on the streets

The colors, the crips air, the sunshine, cooler weather, football saturdays while it's still warm enough to throw open all the windows at the bars and have people on patios.

My 3rd favorite month in Chicago.

October

Tahiti - changing the perception of NJ, one CD member at a time

The weather has been spectacular, we haven't turned the heat on yet, and the air hasn't been on in about 5-6 weeks. Our farms had their best week ever last weekend, due to the perfect conditions. I love this time of year.

The tourists are gone but everything is still open so it's time to start enjoying things in the resort such as the boardwalk.

The crabs are full and heavy.

The inshore fishing is at it's peak.

Deer season!
