Actually, in SW Michigan, I'd say that Cassopolis and Vandalia are more rural and have higher Black percentages. You have Baldwin in NW Michigan in terms of rural and a high Black percentage. S Louisiana has plenty rural areas and are for the most part mainly black, can't speak on how many own workin farms, but there is plenty of black folk down here in the boonies.

Anywhere in the crescent from Maryland to LA/TX. In my own state (MD), Somerset County is 43% black and in a very rural area. Charles county, which is mostly rural (though it has Waldorf, a bedroom community) is similarly 42% black.

You generally have to be in the coastal South, in the North and West there is that black=urban stereotype because most blacks came to cities there during the Great Migration.
