Oh no, you're absolutely right there. Its only amongst area residents. I wouldn't refer to NOLA as "the City" to my family in Texas or Los Angeles unless we were already talking about New Orleans. Its mostly just a locals thing.

Cool. I was mostly winding you up, anyway.

Did you happen to read "the City" thread I was referring to? Search it out. You'll get a kick out of it.

It's OK, I get it - I'm a native of Nawlins. Metry - not the City, though! Old Metry to be more specific.

I love bun bo huey (not pho, but to the casual observer they're both big bowls of soup).

Yum...although I'd replace the water with Vietnamese Egg Cream Soda

I truly envy you guys who live in large cities, or at least cities of such size where you have food and restaurants of many ethnicities regularly accessible to you. In Duluth I went to a supposedly "Vietnamese" restaurant one time asking for pho, and the waiter told me that they are more of a "Pan-Asian" restaurant! (Although they have since started serving pho)

Thats not water. Its the most amazing Fresh Lime Juice!

I wouldn't imagine that there would be a huge Vietnamese variety in Atlanta suburbs. You're more than welcome to come visit us for some amazing pho.

Pho Binh aka Pho Trailer in southeast Houston is one of my favorite. This hole in the wall place has been here since the late 70's. Pho Cue and Pho Cup'd are catchy names when you same them fast.
