I was playing with the test and did a version that went 1 7 1 7 1 7 1 7 1 7 - which would be a pretty miserable human being. Careless, anxious, non-creative, unenthusiastic...
And the result was Maine.

I didn't call you anything, not sure how you ended up with that conclusion. I just noted that I answered the questions with what I thought was the worst combination of traits - which was the 1-7 pattern - and it ended up Maine.
Also if you answer every question as "7" or strongly agree(even though these answers would contradict each other), you get Texas as a result. Because everyone in Texas picks the "biggest" answer so they max out each response apparently....
If you type in all 1s or all 2s or all 3s or all 4s or all 5s or all 6s you also get Texas.

I must have misunderstood your original post. It must be the critical/quarrelsome part of me (which I did answer 1 to)! See, I do belong in New England.

Maybe the test designers decided anyone they think is cheating or trying to manipulate the test results belongs in Texas... hmm... if so wonder what that says about Texas?
It says I belong in Nebraska, though Louisiana and Alabama rank pretty similar and I grew up in Louisiana.
I question some of the map though. I live in West Virginia now and there is no way people here are more similar to people in New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts than to people in Tennessee and Kentucky.
haha. I wanna know what it takes to belong in Delaware.
