What were your take on Dubai? Was hot in winter? What month did you go? International, you say. Did you find the it to be restricting in terms of getting a drink at a bar in a Islamic country. I heard they make a big deal about that when they want to.

It was sunny and pleasant during the few days I was there in February - around 80 degrees. I was surprised by the number of Europeans and East Asians (and people from everywhere really). I didn't come across any kind of restictions at all, drinking or otherwise.

It seemed like the men there wanted international models to come to the city. lol. The rules must be very different for tourists. Basically, if you've got money then you get to do whatever you want in Dubai, kind of like it is in America.

I already live in Florida, so I don't need to go anywhere lol.

But if I want a vacation change of pace in the winter I usually just go down to the Keys, very nice and beautiful, truly paradise! Plus it's pretty affordable too. I also like the Caribbean as well, beautiful scenery and so much variety of islands to choose from (and you don't need a passport for Puerto Rico or The Virgin Islands) it's a very short flight for me and also less expensive than some of those other places you listed (California and Hawaii). Hawaii is nice but too expensive, and if you want to stay there for long periods of time it get's kind of lonely due to the extreme isolation (the weather also varies greatly depending on what side of the islands you are on), and some of the natives are not friendly toward Haoles (white people). Plus it's a LONG flight for me!

I would take Bermuda as well, though it's not on the list. A very short flight for people on the east coast.

No, I could care less about rain. I don't really take holidays based on weather anyway.
