Pretty much. Only 2 states I've never set foot in.

Well, I've been all over the southern half of our country but not so much the northern half (though I have been to Nevada, Washington state, and as far north as New Jersey on the East Coast). I have been all over Europe and also spent some time in Japan and Korea as well. I've never been to South America or Africa or Australia - in fact, I've never been to the southern hemisphere now that I think of it.

But..I've been a lot of places in my life and time...

Yeah, I was born in one of the towns mentioned in the Hank Snow song. I've also been in Hank Snow's home town.

The studio mix is clearer to understand, he doesn't slur over as many names as when he does it live. The lyric text version above gets a few wrong, for example, representing Opelousas as Oskaloosa. He sings Chattanooga, but the text makes it Chattanika to rhyme with Opelika. Some names are in dispute, and it is unknown exactly what he is referring to in some of them. I think I've been in all but about a dozen of the places he names.

I love road songs with places named in them
