Well, I would say the obvious state is NM. Its cities and towns look like no others in the country, and it is the only state that many Americans mistakenly and unfortunately think is foreign (i.e. part of Mexico).
Hawaii is the obvious answer. After that I would say Alaska.
California would probably be third for me, but still way behind Hawaii and Alaska. The others are debatable but should at least include Florida, Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas. Maybe Utah because of the Mormons.
"Obvious" Obviously you haven't stepped foot in NM. Not even Hawaii has been thought of as outside the US as often as misguided people think NM is.
LOL! Do you guys still have to put USA on your license plates so the rest of us won't think we've crossed the border when we really haven't?
