In no particular order, I think my top 3 for American cities are: Walkability/Transit (Areas where I can live without driving most days) Vibrancy (Meaning at minimum a decent sized population overall, a high density in certain areas with street activity) Good Chinese Food (Great food in general is important, but not having good Asian food, and specifically Chinese food, could be a deal-breaker)
Strong Economy, Excellent Cultural Activities, Nightlife, and Cost of Living are also important factors, but not in the top 3. Common factors that don't matter much to me are Specific Job Opportunities, Weather and Major Sports Teams.
1. High paying job
2. Educated population
2. Affordability
3. Access to outdoor recreation
