I ran across Evergreen/Conifer a while back. Maybe I should still consider it. Does it have a very developed downtown? It looks beautiful and the weather seems nice, not too cold nor too hot. Do you know anything much about Estes Park? That is another area I remember looking at.
I don't mean to leave anyone out (and I am really late it replying, because I don't know how to get notifications). Someone mentioned Gunnison, which I looked into at one time, but I don't think there is room in my field there.
I am not interested in NV. It isn't a state where my profession is licensed.
So far, I am really interested in Chico and Petaluma in CA and Moscow, ID (even though it doesn't fit my weather requirements- I visited this small town in the middle of winter last year and just fell in love with it).
Oh, someone else mentioned Spokane and Couer d'Alene. I have visited both. Spokane is a little on the large side for what I am looking for. Couer d'Alene is beautiful for nature, but there is something about the town that I don't really like. It seems really focused on tourism/vacation rental/second home and all about the lake. It is a shame, because the downtown is cute. Maybe I should checkout Post Falls though. I have driven through it, but I don't remember it really.
Thanks for all the input!
