Yea I feel the same.
Italy is beautiful. I just cant imagine leaving behind American culture. (Thanksgiving, 4th of July, Football Sunday's, etc...)

I second this post.

Yes I have done it in the past due to professional and family reasons. I would like to live in Western Europe for a while.

Yes, I currently live in Paris and feel that everyone who can should live abroad at least for a short period of time.

Yeah, I have thought about relocating to either the Scandinavian countries for graduate school or to Japan or South Korea to teach English. I actually did live abroad for two months in Florence, Italy which was nice.

The only thing that has really stopped me from jumping ship is logistical/legal issues regarding visas, etc.

The bottom line is - Why would you move to another country when you can make all your $$$$ here and travel everywhere you want?

I'd probably just go to Canada and specifically certain Ontario cities like Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto, London and Windsor, among maybe some others or perhaps certain communities in Nova Scotia most likely in or just outside of Halifax. I'd consider Montreal as well.

I would temporarily, but permanently most likely not. It has nothing to do with not being in another country but more so my family. I am extremely close to my siblings and parents, and other family members. They all live in Chicago. So it would be very hard for me to leave. Now if they were all spread throughout the world, I would have already done it.
