Nevada is pronounced NeVADa, not NeVAHda. The state even has a special license plate with an mark over the "A" to help people get it.

Oregon is pronounced as "organ" in the PNW. More accurately, it's pronounced as "Or-again" with the first "uh" sound being barely perceptible. I cringe when people pronounce it as "Or-uh-gahn", with three distinct syllables. It makes it sound like some wild west territory from the 1800's.

A few I know of:
Toledo, IA - forget Spanish, say Tuh-LEE-do (same as Ohio, right?)
Lima, NY - again, damn the Spanish, say LIME-uh
Cairo, IL - never mind Egypt, say KAY-ro
If you are ever in Rochester, don't ask a local how to get to the beach at Charlotte unless you pronounce it sha-LOT.
In the Twin Cities, there are suburbs called Edina (Eh DINE uh), Wayzata (Wy ZETT uh), and Mahtomedi (Mah toe MEE die)
In Wisconsin, forget French pronunciation, pronounce Beloit as Beh LOIT. Do the same in MI with the Motor City.
No French in MT, either, Havre's pronounced HAVE er. (Brett Favre would probably pronounce it HARVE. )
In MN, there's a town called Oronoco, which the locals pronounce Oruh NO co.
One of my favorite tongue twisters is Oconomowoc, WI. Love those o's
