Overall favorite for me has to be Ontario - given that nearly 40% of Canada's population lives in that province alone. It is the clear heavyweight in that country in terms of economic and cultural dominance.

However, best scenery would probably be British Columbia or Yukon.

Damn! Damn! Damn! I can't believe I left that off the poll. Don't know how that slipped by me, I've even been there, love it. Very beautiful ocean coastline there, especially Cabot Trail. Wish there were poll modification abilities here on C-D Threads.

Your wish is my command! Nova Scotia has been added to the poll. And it really is beautiful up there.

Only been to BC, Ontario and Quebec, so:

Best scenery: British Columbia
Province with best cities/urban areas: Quebec
Food: Quebec
Character and people: Quebec (for character, not people; no opinion on people)
Cultural elements: Quebec
Infrastructure: Ontario
Economy: Ontario
Overall Favorite: By FAR Quebec

Seriously, no contest here. I liked Quebec so much better than the other two that it's not even close. Montreal has got to be a top-three North American city for me. I've generally found the rest of Canada to be a bit of a disappointment, though I'd like to see Vancouver and Toronto again with older eyes -- it's been quite a while.

I find Atlantic Canada intriguing. I have a feeling I might like it a lot, but I haven't visited.

Quebec is my favorite to visit, but if I ever move to Canada I'd live in Ontario.

I could be happy never leaving the southern end of Vancouver Island.
