I'm not sure whether this thread has been done before, and whether it will be a gen or a dud. But the concept is, this:
I remember a regular poster here recently mentioning that he "collects" cities. Meaning, he visits them to have an idea of what they all have to offer. Does anyone else have lists like this that are similar, or get fascinated by things like this? Here are some things that I personally can say I have "collected", over time, whether incidentally or not.
1. 50 states/capitals (completed)
2. National Parks (the 45 in the contiguous states, at least)
3. MLB stadiums (have seen a game/taken a tour at 23/30)
4. AIA's Florida Top 100 buildings (a little over half)
5. Every hiking park/bike trail mile in a metro (have done most in ORL and CLE)
6. US Big League Metros (almost, if not, all)
7. Countries/Continents (37/7, though I was on a boat for all of Antarctica)
8. Highly Rated restaurants/Different ethnic food/restaurant concepts
Those are some that I can think of, what are some others?
