I have lived in Michigan since 1997 and I am still in awe of how beautiful many parts of this state are!
I so agree. Michigan has an abundance of natural beauty.
Same goes for upstate New York.

I think the Hampton Roads metro (Virginia Beach/Norfolk) is very underrated up here. This metro has all there is to offer. From the urban culture to the sandy beaches. No pro sports teams yet but Va Beach has an World class arena on the way. The area is highly overlooked in general and unknown nationally. Why is that?

Those first days of spring were the best days for me. It was in the upper 30s, but it felt like 70. We'd be out in t-shirts playing basketball or football like it was no big deal.

I've seen the complete opposite. With the exception of Philly, the Northeast is by far the favorite region on C-D because of its density, walkability, public transit, less sprawl, etc. Atlanta is probably one of the most hated cities on C-D, and Houston isn't far behind.
