Okay, jokes aside.....

What cities in the US are best for bird-watching and interacting with the local wildlife outside of zoos?

Also, are there any types of creatures could you find walking, swimming, or flying around your city that you might not be able to find in other parts of the US?

Here in Boston you'll see the occasional turkey or group of turkeys walking around the city streets. Also, if your in the West End, you might come across the infamous albino squirrel.

Otherwise we have Canadian geese, brown squirrels, ducks, pigeons, and the occasional swan.

In Albuquerque the Sandia mountains are right at the edge of the city so it's not uncommon for coyotes, bears, bobcats, lizards, and rattlesnakes to show up in the foothill areas. And in the city, there are lots of roadrunners.

We also get lots of hummingbirds in the summer in Albuquerque. I've never been anyplace where I've seen so many, they're always buzzing by my windows, I love it!
