Which southern state is the most beautiful? Great mountains, beaches, countryside, etc.

I'd say it's a tie between NC and VA.

But you omitted TX from the poll.

And what's so terrible about Mississippi?

LOL Of course he did. And it was intentional!

I don't want to disrespect another posters poll. BUT? MOST who post polls always (I can honestly say I always have, and I have posted quite a few), provide the option "OTHER".

Anyway, again, I truly don't mean to cast aspersions...but I place a "write-in" vote. Texas.

BTW, if this had not been so obvious as to the exclusion of Texas, I probably would have voted Tennessee. But it was and I didn't.

Agreed. A poorly disguised slight against Texas' southernness.

Without voting on the poll, I think my personal favorite would have to be North Carolina. Texas is a close second, but it's hard to beat a state that has ski resorts and subtropical beaches.

On the poll, it's hard to beat VA and NC.

Got to go with North Carolina here. The combination of the Smoky Mountains and the beaches of the Outer Banks is pretty hard to beat. I think NC's coastline edges out Virginia.

The great state of Tennessee of course. You cant beat the Smoky mountain views we've got here in east Tennessee. Having said that all southern states have got a lot of natural beauty, the good lord blessed Dixie in that regard.

I'd call it a tie between NC and GA. Both have such a variety of landscapes.
