I'm 6'1", and currently about 220 lbs (hoping to cut that down to under 200 though )
In.......
Minneapolis: I felt almost small, or average at best. Even some women towered over me!
Chicago: I felt pretty tall compared to the Italians and Poles I associated with
Columbus: I felt fairly tall, although as a college student I was surrounded by many people from different regions, so it's hard to say
Cleveland: I feel fairly tall. I'd say I'm taller than 75% of the male population here, but that's just a guess.
I'm 6' and feel quite average. My dad is 6'5" so quite tall. Growing up I just assumed it was perfectly normal for you dad to be 6'5". People would tell me he was so tall when I was a child and I would just look at them and say "no he's not".
I'm 6'0'', and I feel slightly above average here in the Virginia Beach area. I also have a bigger build and broad shoulders, so I never really feel small anywhere I go, even if I'm not the tallest guy in the room. Definitely taller than everyone at my office and taller than most of my friends.
I'm 6'1. Tall here in Dallas, tall in Los Angeles where I hailed from. The majority Latino population as well as Asians in LA severely drive down the median height. Dallas seems taller than LA though, still on the short side imo. LA is just shorty central.

The height range seems to vary a ton in each county in Texas. Some have tall people, while others have places where people who are 5'11" will possibly feel really tall in.
