Those of you that picked Mississippi as a least favorite, have you ever actually been there?

I don't have to visit a place to know I would hate it. Thanks to the magic of the modern news media, the interwebs (including the "source of all knowledge, wikipedia), and common sense most people can generate a general idea of whether you'll like a place or not. And I'm not talking about BS stereotypes.

I lived of the coast(yes there's a beach in Mississippi) for many years. I accepted work there and thought I would hate it. Turns out I love it! The people there are GREAT. I remember strangers offering me and my family a place to stay when Katrina took our home. San Diego will always be home and where I'm happiest but Biloxi, MS is a close number 2.

I will rank them by physical beauty for my favorites. Every state has its problems and advantages, but physical beauty is undeniable in most peoples eyes.

Most attractive
1. Hawaii
2. California
3. Alaska
4. Colorado

Least attractive

I like the way you did your list however I think alaska is more attractive then California.
