Only places iv been besides my home state which is clearly the best so I won't list it.
Favs.
1. Colorado - if I got stranded here for some reason I honestly wouldnt mined.
2. New Mexico - on top of the sierra blanca mountain looking down on the white sands middle range you get a true since on what altitude really is!
3. New York - 5 days wasn't nearly enough to explore the city much less the state.
4. Arizona - grand canyon isn't that enough?
5 Nevada - some of the best times I never remembered.

Least favs
1. Oaklahoma - paying a toll to drive the crappiest road in history?
2. Nebraska - I woulda gone insane if I stayed in Lincoln more than a couple days
3. Kansas - reminds me of Nebraska
4. Florida - south beach is cool but I would find it impossible to fit in
5. New Jersey - just kept thinking to myself, why am I here instead of New York right now and can't this ferry go any faster!

Having lived in or visited 48 of our 50....

Faves: So easy
1. Florida (I cannot function without Sunshine!)
2. North Carolina (The most friendly folks ever!)
3. Georgia (The North Georgia Mtns. are heaven on earth!)
4. Tennessee (almost as friendly as NC.)
5. Kentucky (Hospitality at its finest.)

Least faves (a little harder)
5. Texas (at least around DFW-- I found Houston more enjoyable)
4. Arkansas (Boring)
3. New York (stereotypical and I'm sure not all true.. but have met a lot of rude people here)
2. New Mexico (the terrain.. the wind.. the sand... ugh)
1. California (well... we won't go there...)

The Western states are the best; the Southern states are the worst.
