but when it comes to people discussing the absolutely, perfectly gorgeous, temperate, warm but with low humidity, lush, green, early summer that we are having up here, it's...crickets.

Is it just that people like to complain and don't bother to appreciate the great things about where they live?

Because or is human tendency to seek out support and a place to vent when you are not happy or share when something really good, out of the ordinary happens. But when things are all right, people tend to continue on and enjoy their lives! That's why you tend to see more negative reviews or shining positive reviews when you are looking up a drug or a product online.

The same happens when people talk about Florida summers. But no one says a thing during the winter time. Because Florida's turrible.

I'm in Montreal and i gauge the severity of winter by how many times i have to shovel my car out of its parking space, it happened twice in the winter just passed.IMO not a bad winter at all.
Temperatures are not a factor as you just dress appropriately for the conditions, infinitely preferable to something akin to Florida's unrelenting 8 month sauna bath..

People have been talking just as much about how awesome the weather is now IMO-people just like to talk about the weather I think. By the end of the Month I'm sure there'll be plenty complaints about how hot it is.

Going to Florida for a week near the end of July and I'm dreading it in I'm sure the same way I'm sure a Floridian would dread Milwaukee in February. The weather has been absolutely phenominal up here so far, we've been hiking and boating all over the place in the most pleasant conditions possible.

End of July temps will be in the low 90's with humidity levels to match, Floridians call it paradise

So many threads because people find it difficult. The hot climates have their negatives, but are overall probably much easier than colder climates hence people moving to warm/hot climates!

This is exactly what I was talking about.

Florida weather is amazing between October and April. It doesn't rain as much, and while everyone is freezing their a$$ off during the winter, I'm sitting at the beach in swim trunks. Florida summers suck, we all know. But the other 7 months of the year are great.
