There's sarcastic people everywhere though it just dominates more in the Northeast. But I grew up on California and I had friends that were sarcastic as hell--though when I went to college in a small town in Oregon I met people who couldn't understand sarcasm if you beat them over the head with it and literally said "I'm being sarcastic".
