The movie "Slacker". The original from the 80's filmed in Austin. Made me realize Texas could be awesome. Close second, the movie "Bottlerocket".

Yes, it absolutely would. No sarcasm.

When I lived in California, I found myself voting for Republicans more times than not. Now that I live in Texas, I find myself voting for Democrats 100% of the time.

Which is why Texas' economy is growing leaps & bounds ahead of its blue state counter parts...

Texas' conservative politics is the reason none of our cities filed for bankruptcy during the economic recession like "other" unmentionable states & you know who I'm talking about.

Lots of cool movies have been filmed in Texas.

Reality Bites was filmed in Houston.

True Stories was an 80's movie filmed in Dallas about Dallasites during that time. It featured Talking Heads singer David Byrne & John Goodman.

Things I think of...

-Hank Hill
-My favorite aunt and uncle in Ft. Worth
-Big cities, dead downtowns. Ft. Worth was up into the night tho.
-Rugged, do it yourself attitude
-Beautiful women that will kick your...
-Vast amounts of open space (I'm from Kansas so I like this!)
-Great Mexican food/culture
-Scariest highways I've ever driven on.
