Truth is most jobs have been lost to automation which was pushed by the West Coast Techies. The irony.

It's Kurt Cobain's and Quentin Tarentino's fault.

I grew up in a small town in the pacific north west and we had mental health hospitals put released patients on a one way bus trip to our town. I think they figured it was safer...or maybe there was so many wackos in our town, they thought they would fit in

Over in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Seattle, the city installed a bench near Broadway with a metal statue of a homeless man resting on the bench. It works both to prevent homeless from sleeping on the bench as well as serves as ironic city art. Glad Seattle makes tongue-in-cheek jokes about its homeless problem instead of actually fixing this mess. I hear junkies in the alley of my apartment 24/7.
