In Live in San Diego. It is pricey. I work from home, so I can avoid traffic without too much hassle. But the COL and taxes are unavoidable. The beaches, ability to do anything outside at any time, and almost constant stream of touristy things to do are big draws for me. Is there anything relatively close to San Diego in terms of weather and activities that costs less? I think the answer is probably no, but would like to hear your thoughts.

Maybe something north of LA along the coast? Though an area of Santa Barbara isn't exactly cheap either.

Jacksonville, maybe? It's not as big as San Diego but the First Coast is pretty fun. Just make sure you can take your job with you.
