Cities about 90% White are usually very "exciting" places like Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, Pierre, Sioux Falls, Billings, Duluth, etc

So are you implying white people cannot be exciting?

Thanks for being the only person thus far to mention Scranton, which is without a doubt one of the least racially and culturally diverse metropolitan areas in our nation. I'm surprised nobody else thought of it. After all, we're larger than Fargo.

Do you think it is a dull place because of that?

Not at all. We still have the same concerts, minor-league sports, parks, theatrical productions, etc. that most other similarly-sized yet racially-diverse cities enjoy. I think it's a shame that so many in my area have been so underexposed to minority groups that they have grown rather standoff-ish towards them out of sheer ignorance, but it won't be the reason why I'd ever leave this city. I'm a minority myself (although still Caucasian), and I don't let my apprehensions stop me from living a productive, happy life.

Come to think of it, all males are minorities, since women account for well over 50% of our population. Do males in this nation feel oppressed? On the contrary it's quite the opposite---women are the ones who are still paid less for the same positions as their male counterparts. Too many in this nation dwell upon superficial differences such as race, ethnicity, religious belief, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Those who do so run the risk of losing out on a great friend.

In short, Scranton is still a nice place to live, in my opinion, despite being almost completely white. In the coming years when the commuter rail line is built to Greater NYC, we'll probably see much more diversity head our way to enjoy the lower cost-of-living here while still commuting to the higher-paying jobs 60-90 minutes away in North Jersey.

I think having different cultures and races mixed together is what truly becomes interesting. (That is aimed at peaceful folks) Lolz

You want white? Try Ashland Wisconsin

I went to school there once and on the door to some stores (this was in the sixties) , it said "we do not serve dogs or indians'" .Isn't that terrible ? I had forgotten about that until you mentioned the name of the town. It was so very long ago.

I dont know the reason of the question, but just about any Northern part of Michigan. Major northern cities would be Traverse City, or Marquette.

Default Colorado Springs, Portland

These are the only two cities with over 300,000 people with more than 70% white.

While the Black and Hispanic communities may look small percentage-wise, they're a pretty big part of the city.

The total population of SF is debatable (somewhere between 750-800,000), but there are around 110,000 hispanic people, 50,000 black people, 250,000 Asian People, and 350,000 white people. Also, roughly half of the city I would say is majority non-white, though it's one of the overall less dense parts of the city (the southern/southeastern, and some central areas of the city). The "whitest" areas would be in the North, some parts of the central area, and parts of the west, (which would be probably be split down the middle with Asian). I could go into specific neighborhood names, but it probably wouldn't mean much to most people...

these maps help to illustrate what I mean:

White population:

Asian:

Latino/Hispanic:

Black:
