Well, I live way out in the country. So you wish to walk for exercise it is great. But I would not walk to the store. Our crime rate is 35 with 100 being the US average.
I was suprised the score was not higher. This is a town where everyone mostly walks or bikes. I guess the effect of crime must be figured into the score.
I think it's generally pretty accurate, but not counting factors like public transit, street layout, topography and crime definitely means it's sort of an estimate. Public transit is especially important for walkability, especially on a large-scale.
My Albuquerque (current) Neighborhood got a: 69
