Which U.S. state is the least international? E.g. New Mexico has a huge Hispanic influence, Michigan has a very Canadian influence as does Alaska, Hawaii is very Asian.

What states aren't really influence like that..?

What does a Canadian influence look like?

I've say the mid-west and mountain states. Ohio, Oklahoma, Montana, Wyoming, etc.

Maybe West Virginia? They don't seem to get a lot of immigration compared to other states.

I would say either West Virginia, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, or Mississippi considering that those states tend to be the most rural (and poorest in the case of Mississippi and West Virginia).

Those states have plenty of foreign influence from Canada and have a lot of French speakers relative to other US states due to being next door to Quebec.

Also many Midwestern states have a large Mexican immigrant population working at the meat plants and other sectors in agriculture. In addition Michigan has a large Arab immigrant population concentrated around Detroit and Minnesota has a large Hmong and Somali population so it's not like the Midwest outside of Chicago is completely devoid of immigrants either.

Suffice it to say, anyone including a Canadian border state is dead wrong. Same with states that border Mexico (though I don't believe anyone has listed any).
