The West in my opinion has it!!! But the east can be very beautiful as well. The west is just so much grander. Im from NC and have traveled the entire east as well as CAlifornia, ORegon, Washington and desert south west and yep the West is magnificent!

I've lived in the East and the West, and think my mother summed it up best decades ago when visiting us in Colorado. She was appreciating the view in Rocky Mountain National Park and she told us the scenery back East was beautiful but the scenery in the West was dramatic.

Scenery out East can be exactly the same level of dramatic. It depends what you find drama in.

Yeah. Niagara, the Outer Banks, the Blue Ridge and Smokies all pretty much suck.

Let me pontificate for a minute. I moved from Colorado, which I loved, to Florida and then Western North Carolina. When I first took a trip to the Smokies I kept telling myself "Mountains? These sure as heck ain't the Rockies" and they're not. But after three visits I told myself "You're right! They're NOT the Rockies, they're the Smokies." Once I accepted that I opened myself to what the Smokies have to offer and now I live in them. I love the Rockies and I love the Smokies BECAUSE they're different.

Lol, just another close minded westerner who refuses to believe other people can find things out east to be more attractive/impressive.

You know... like most of the largest freshwater lakes in the world... Not just the largest, but the next few largest ones too.

Niagara vs Grand Canyon (177 miles long, 10 miles wide, 1 mile deep). Ok, buddy!

Just more east coast people boasting how great the east is because is has 'more people'. Niagara is more impressive than the Grand Canyon? LOL. Niagara is a giant tourist trap. Ive seen Niagara. Pretty? Yes. Grand Canyon breathtaking? not even close.
