I think you have to appreciate the beauty of every place individually. To say one region of the country is "hands down more beautiful" than another not only ignores the fact that there's beauty everywhere, but there's ugliness everywhere as well.

With the exception of maybe two delusional people on this thread your on your own. The west destroys the eastern half of the country when it comes to natural beauty. I know this is just my opinion but if you ask 10 honest people this question 9 out of 10 would probably acknowledge the west is superior when it comes to the subject at hand.

Who cares ? Does that mean those of us who don't find it as pretty are less legit? I mean maybe we are like that one dentist out of 5 that doesn't recommend crest, are they less of a dentist? I guess we need to change our personal tastes to fit yours then.

They're both beautiful in very different ways.

This is reminiscent of the biggie and Tupac feud.

The wet part of the West is quite small compared to the bulk of the region. Only about 30 percent of the West receives more than 20" of precipitation, and much of those areas receive the majority of that in the form of mountain snow. While the West has its "jewel" regions most of the region is typified by stark expenses of shortgrass and wormwood.

Where is your Niagara Falls ? Key West ? Lush greenery ? Rolling hills ?

Sure the west coast has its beauty spots but the Pacific ocean is more of a cold unclear beast whereas the beaches on the east coast like in FL are clear, warm and beautiful

IMHO the east coast has much more variety and beauty than a big rocky - sometimes desert - y place .
