I was fine living in idaho sure I bitched about winters but I was fine. Family convinced me to move back to california where they grew up and many of our extended family are I like it here but not enough to stay I'd like to try living in WA, oregon, maine or back to idaho.

I will be leaving Pennsylvania in November. I have had all the winter I can take for this lifetime.

We're moving to Philly in six weeks. It's a place we've wanted to live for a long time. I don't see another move for a long time after this one.

I'm relatively settled, but considering relocating (for health reasons). There are only two cities I am considering. If I eliminate them as possibilities, I would expect to settle in Albuquerque long term.

Default Relocating

I moved to North Carolina January 2013 from Massachusetts. It just isn't working for me here between the ignorant locals to the crazy drivers. Virginia has a slower pace and the trees and mountains have much more of a new england feel. To each their own...but NC is for the birds!

I moved to Colorado Springs in 1999. Lived in Bakersfield, CA, Billings, MT, Montrose, CO, Denver Metro and Salt Lake City. At our age (me and my wife) we are probably "settled" now. We have considered becoming ex-pats in Costa Rica or Belize but that's mostly pipe-dreaming. You can do a lot worse than The Springs for retirement.

Happily settled in Portland, OR. No plans to move, love it here. It would take a very large sum of money for me to move.

Settled in the Denver area. Own a home. Kids in school.

Will venture around as I age, but still plan on keeping this house no matter what.

Living in a great little woodsy city (Sammamish, WA) with views of the Olympics and Snoqualmie Valley, seeing Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker and the Olympic Mountains every morning and afternoon as I cross Lake Washington on the 23 mile commute to work, what reason could I have to move?
