It depends on the area...

No way. As someone who grew up in VA, I am so glad to be back in NC after living in TN. The differences between the two are easily felt, especially in metro areas.

Maryland and Virginia(especially). It has nothing in common with Georgia which is a deep south state through and through and South Carolina is a crime infested dump.

You're right. I don't understand how someone would think Georgia is more similar to Florida than South Carolina. I would need to hear some examples...

Your opinion. Sadly.

Georgia is South Atlantic through and through. Deep South would be Alabama and Mississippi.

South Carolina is a beautiful state, my opinion. The beaches are not equipped with clear water, but they are very charming and peaceful. The rolling hills of the piedmont and the foothills to the Appalachians.. a sight to see. To each his or her own though, I guess..

Charlotte is Atlanta divided by 3, the Triangle reminds me of a microcosm of NoVA with a little Richmond mixed in, and the Triad is pretty much a smaller multi-nodal version Richmond. Overall I'd say the state has more in common with VA, but towards the south of the state it slowly turns towards the SC side of things.
