The largest city (proper) I've never been to is Detroit. The largest metropolitan area I've never been to is Boston.

Not as strange as you might think. Driving distance, it is still over 850 miles away. Australia is quite a large country.

As for the OP, hmm...

Most people don't think of Grand Rapids as a large city, but it recently hit a population milestone of 1 million. Been to the airport, but not the city proper. Same with Denver, Salt Lake City, Kansas City and Saint Louis.

Haven't set foot in San Francisco, San Diego or Sacramento.

Out of the cities mentioned, I believe the San Francisco metro would be largest. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Otherwise, 44 states down, 6 to go. Woot.

Philadelphia is both the largest city and largest metro in the U.S. I've never been to.

NYC. I would have liked to visit at one time. After they elected Bloomberg Mayor three times i lost all interest as I despise nanny states.
