We see soem threads in here about which Americans are disliked or negative stereotypes about people from certain states or regions. Let's have a more positive thread. So, the question is, from what states or regions in the United States are the most liked and viewed in a more positive light by others? My guess would be Southerners because of their reputation for being laid back and friendly.

I don't know, if you get too laid back some people just want to push you out of the way. I'm gonna go with somewhere like Vermont, or Maine.

Why? Because people are not known for being as urban or hustle/bustle, however they are educated, and they do not talk in an offensive way, or uneducated bigoted way. (An I mean that as opposed to both left and right leaning people who are obnoxious and overly opinionated in inappropriate places.)

These states just seem like nice quiet types that mind their own business, like the Canada of the US.

How does this not wind up turning negative?

This forum is rampant with sarcasm. I don't even think this portion of the website has a true moderator. It's like a bunch of kids at recess and all of the supervisors disappeared.

We can have a mature, respectful discussion without insulting people and places. So far, so good. There was a thread about who the most disliked Americans were, and it seemed to go well. There's no reason that this one can't go well also.

Or like the corporate America office world! Which is the same as kids at recess whether a supervisor is present or not.
