Boblob:

Tacoma was one the meth capitals of the US about a decade ago. Pierce County finally started a crackdown and the meth labs fanned out into the countryside.

I think of most Americans as fake, superficial, money grubbing warmongers and have lost all trust in them.

It's true. We're all greedy, gun-toting psychopaths who would gladly sell our children on the black market for a BMW. You nailed it!

I think some of the blame can be put on the Media. It has been a powerful influence on dictating to the masses as to which cities are the "best" or the "coolest" causing the posers and the losers to flock to them believing that just by living in those places they themselves will become "hip" and "cool." And arrogant.

These idiots often destroy perfectly nice cities by making them like all the other cities the lemmings flock to in order to establish bragging rights. The orginal charm and abiance of the cities are gone and the clever politicans, developers and enterpreneurs profit by the migration.

Very well-said. Nailed it. I'd rep you if I could, but C-D wants me to "spread it around" first.

Yup, because arrogance is usually paired with either ignorance, or unfriendliness, and the main thing I want out of a city is a good community/a very social environment/friendly people. Wouldn't be happy there.
