Being a photographer, I spend much of my time in national parks, monuments, and state parks. What is your favorite national park? Least favorite?

A few of my favorite national parks:
Carlsbad Caverns
Bryce Canyon
Zion
Grand staircase/escalante

Agreed on the Grand Canyon for sure. You definitely have to go beneath the rim to truly understand how magnificent that work of nature is!

The western US parks are pretty amazing

There are some nice ones in other locales (not the same dramatic vista in general)

One local to me that has both pretty interesting history and natural beauty is Valley Forge Park and slightly further is the Delaware Water Gap National park

Yosemite is definitely my next photo road trip. The state of Utah alone has some amazing parks!

Yosemite for sure. Yellowstone looks like it would be a blast, I think all National Parks could be great.

I wouldn't call it my favorite, but Big Bend in West Texas should at least get a mention. It's really overlooked due to it's remote location, but absolutely gorgeous. Some very unique vegetation, topography, and microclimates not found anywhere else in the country, outside of the park. Great mountain and canyon vistas as well. It's just a shame that it's so hard to get to. However, if you want to experience a great N.P. Without having to deal with tons of tourists, it's probably your best bet.

That said, my all-time favorite is Glacier N.P. In Montana.
