Christ.
I've experienced this same BS mentality in the Arizona threads. Apparently anyone that hasn't lived there for a 1000 years isn't allowed to comment on what they have observed or experienced or perceived about that place, or its cities, without the thread being closed for 'observation'. So damn draconian...it sometimes feels like City-Data is being moderated by the Chinese government.

I don't see anything wrong with a Canadian creating this thread more or less than any other person. If anything, they will have less of a bias since there is no particular U.S. state they call home, or home grown regionalism/favoritism.

No we are not. Just ask Texans or any other unreconstructed neo-Confederates.

The only state I think that can secede without any major repercussions to the general economy is Hawaii. I don't think most people realize how some of these seemingly unimportant states at first glance (ie. Wyoming, N/S Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Delaware, Rhode Island, Maine, etc.) are important to the over well-being of the US economy in terms of energy, oil, natural resources, scientific research, etc, etc. There is a lot more going on throughout rural america than most people will ever realize.

Some of us would much rather have Hawaii than Texas.

I think we can live without Canada more so the province of Ontario. This thread is a perfect example of what happens when a silly and bored Canadian sits in front of a computer.
