Bruegger's Bagels started near Albany, but they're now based in Burlington, Vermont.
Off the top of my head I can think of local store chains like Stop & Shop lol. I'm trying to think of actual restaurant chains that aren't in the south. As I said earlier, chains aren't really hot where I grew up so I'm not familiar with a lot of them.

I've never heard of Bruegger's Bagels. We do have a Bertucci's in CT but it's only "meh"

Yeah, OK, I admit it - sometimes I want some tots and a BLT with my diet Cherry Limeade. Gotta have some grease to go with that diet food.

There are Carvel's in Upstate NY as well, as there are 2 in the Syracuse area.

As for chains, I prefer local and regional chains like Jreck Subs, Tully's, Brooklyn Pickle, Zebb's, Gannon's Isle Ice Cream and Alto/Otro Cinco, among maybe a few others. A few of these places listed only have 2 locations too.

Oh well. Then someone else come up with a North or Northeast only chain. Bertucci's and Papa Gino's are the only two I found so far.

The ones I posted in a post above are pretty much local or only found in a certain of the state.

I'm at Chipotle every Thursday with my coworkers like clockwork. That's a chain I'll always be able to get down with. Chicken burrito bowl every time.
