And again, boycotting is fine, but don't just do it based on the media's portrayal. Boycott Chick Fil A and then go ahead and boycott ExxonMobil for the same thing. Do your research instead of just selectively boycotting what's in the news. All oil companies believe the same thing as Chick, so good luck driving your car from now on.
You don't seem to be understanding me. I'm not "boycotting" Chick Fil A, had their chicken been good and priced correctly then I probably wouldn't have a problem going there. I said that I don't think it's a problem for people to boycott.

Their chicken is not that great <-- this is the reason I don't go there. The other stuff is just added to the end as more reasons NOT to go.

Zaxby's on the other hand is much better :-)

I love both but find it shocking that you didn't find their chicken delicious. Best chain chicken sandwich! Although I do miss the 4 alarm chicken sandwich from Wendy's. ..

Zaxby's has this spicy sauce that I always ask for and when I tell them to soak the crap out of the chicken with it they go "Are you sure? It's REALLY hot!".

I'm personally on the challenge level when it comes to spicy foods. I've done several wing challenges and haven't failed one yet (that's not to say that I didn't get my butt whooped by a couple).

For those of you that understand spices, I start to draw the line around 1,000,000 SHU (scoville), but in order to preserve taste I prefer about half of that.

Yikes - the first one on your list - Arnett Cafe - is a CHAIN!!!!!

Very sketchy reviews on the Beale.
The Beale, Rochester - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Apparently no one's eating at BoBo's chicken shack - no reviews on Trip Advisor.

Or at CJ's Southern Soul Food.

I got a kick out of reading this review on the French Quarter Cafe:
"After eating all this unknown food, my throat swelled up and I had to take allergy medication for three days."
French Quarter Cafe, Rochester - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Glady's Place is apparently out of business.

Same with Grandma's Kitchen.

No one's reviewed Mattie's Restaurant and Bakery.

Peoples Choice is no longer in Rochester - but it is a chain. It has average reviews at best.

The Revelry has good reviews and ratings - it's apparently "upscale" New Orleans cuisine - which is usually wonderful, but definitely not "typical southern style food."
The Revelry, Rochester - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Unkl Moe's looks great - if you can survive the neighborhood!
Unkl Moe's BBQ & Catering, Rochester - Restaurant Reviews - TripAdvisor

Southern Flavours Grocery Store is no longer in business in Rochester apparently - and that stands to reason since no real Southern store would spell "flavors" that way!

Interesting link - thanks!
Arnett Cafe is a chain? It is located on Arnett Boulevard. Hence, the name. https://m.facebook.com/TheArnettCafe...nett_Cafe&_rdr

People's Choice has multiple locations, so I consider it a chain (or franchise).
https://www.google.com/search?q=peop..._sm=0&ie=UTF-8

Same with the Arnett Cafe. Maybe the one in Rochester is some other completely random place, or maybe the first one was there and it expanded, I don't know.
https://www.google.com/search?q=arne..._sm=0&ie=UTF-8

And I didn't dispute the existence of CJ's, Mattie's, or BoBos - I just said there were no reviews on Trip Advisor on any of them. Trip Advisor has reviews on just about every restaurant in every town I've ever driven through, even the most obscure Mom and Pop place so I found this total lack of reviews interesting.

I think with People's Choice, it is a name that is used by different people in different locations. I don't think it is franchised. Same with the Arnett Cafe.

With the other restaurants, it may just depend on where people enter their reviews.

If the Peoples Choice in Rochester serves Jamaican food (as well as southern food) then it's part of the same group of restaurants in multiple locations. And there's a significant difference between Jamaican food and southern US food - there's some overlap but your average southerner wouldn't consider Jamaican food to be "down home cookin' " AT ALL. Just to clarify.

There were more but I figured that was enough to get my point across.

They may be similar to Kennedy Fried Chicken spots, which use the same name, but are individually different. Kennedy Fried Chicken : Fast Food Chicken in New York

Some restaurants may have a mix of Soul/Southern and Caribbean food on the menu, as both cultures may be in the same neighborhoods or the people running them may be of both cultural backgrounds.

Here is an article about the Arnett Cafe: Cheap Eats: Warm welcome, Southern food at Arnett Cafe
