350k will support you for many years in the south or Midwest. Living on the coasts will eat that cash up faster. A decent house can be had in those regions for 100-150k, or less in some areas. I think some kind of job or income is still necessary so you will not run out of money, but that kind of cash will really give you a huge head start. Remember living below your means will allow the money to support you much longer. A small house and modest car will help you save much of that money. As far as a specific city, well that is something youll have to pick based on your likes and dislikes, values and politics. It might be worth a few thousand dollars to take a roadtrip, visit some prospects first hand. This will give you a better prespective about different places.

I somehow don't think this thread is serious, but if it is you really got to give more info on what you want to get some good advice.

I will say that in Jacksonville, FL, for 350k you could buy 5 decent homes in up-and-coming neighborhoods, live in one of them and collect close to 6k/month in rent, which is easily enough to live a nice life in Jax. This is without doing any work (although real estate investing to that degree is a part-time job)

But really though $350k will get you started but it won't last forever.
