I know a lot of people are moving to these states because MJ is legal there and they smoke it, enough said.

But, I was curious if anybody avoids these states now as possible relocation picks simply because pot is legal there and they don't like to live around people who are doing drugs. So, on the flip side, is MJ being legal in these states a turn off to you?

Do you avoid the world to stay away from another drug, alcohol, which can actually kill you?

No. I think more people from Oregon have gone to Washington recently just for the novelty of it. And it is more of just a novelty.

Well, I have family in WA so I don't stay away but I do have a friend of mine in another state I live in which surprised me the other day with her dislike for states with legal MJ. I thought it might be interesting to see if it bothered anyone.
Like others have said I've meant plenty of people who are packing up to go there for that luxury, but didn't realize someone might not. It got me thinking others might not want to either. Believe it or not, as ridiculous as it is, some people who drink find it ok, and still don't agree with MJ use.

I personally don't drink, so I can not answer your question the way you were hoping because yes, I do stay away from alcohol because it can kill me. lol Now I've yet to find a state where no alcohol is served to avoid since it's legal everywhere. But, avoiding drunk drivers would be nice.

I imagine there are wing nuts who are outraged by this, but then they probably wouldn't visit these places anyway.

Well, it did take me by surprise s I've noticed nothing different about WA, except in the news, but she recently moved from Northern CA and disliked it for similar reasons.

I know some people avoid moving to my state because of the gun laws. It also attracts people for the same reason.

What might be ridiculous to you, could make a lot of sense to another person. I was hoping to hear reasons why one would dislike it. The fact that I'm not hearing that probably means most people don't mind it. Which is good news for WA and CO. Maybe she was a lone ranger. lol

I live in WA, and I lived here for years before marijuana was legal, and honestly... nothing has really changed. Except that our prisons are no longer being overcrowded by harmless weed smokers.

If anybody chooses to "avoid" coming here because a ridiculous old law got tossed out, then GREAT!!! Stay away at all costs! We don't need those kind of people here anyway.

No. I think those States are ahead of the game when it comes to sound and logical drug policy. You dont have to be a ganja smoker to appreciate that.
