What are some "ethnolects" - accents of native-born people speaking English from specific accents. Here are some from Canada:

George Mammoliti, Italian Canadian city councillor from Toronto (he's a buffoon but it's a good Toronto-Italian accent):

OK how about some US cities? NYC has Jewish and Italian ones. How about other ones? Can you distinguish between Italian Americans or Polish American in say Chicago or Buffalo?

Great clip and interesting to hear about the Native American community around Syracuse. Interestingly the older Native man seems to have more of the "Great Lakes" accent while the Thompsons sound more distinctively Native.

I never thought about that, but I think you're right. It may be a matter of interaction or it could be due to a renewed interest in the Native language within some in the younger generation. You can actually take Native language courses at Syracuse University too. University College | Part-Time Study at Syracuse University
