Mabuhay
Fil-am tend to reside in California.
Most of them Reside in The Bay area(San Jose in particular, San Francisco is mostly Chinese) or Los Angeles... Other cities like San Diego and Sacramento also have quite a few.
Hawaii is also strongly Filipino, some areas are majority Filipino in Hawaii.
New York City also has quite a few.
California has been getting more expensive.
So Chicago and Las Vegas might be an alternative, or other lesser know cities.
Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio all have growing Fil-Am population, although none really are famous in terms of numbers... although these cities are cheaper and growing so opportunity will be better here.
I personally, am Chinese with relatives in Pilipinas. There a quite a few around here, but Los Angeles and San Jose are you best bets.
What part are you from? Most Fil-am, especially the younger ones, will only speak English.
But Ilocano and Visayan are rarely used. Tagalog is the most common one, so if you are from Manila you'll be ok, but if you only know Pangasinan or Waray (something like that) you may find yourself speaking english to other filipinos.
If you speak Ilocano, I think many Hawaiian filipino are from the llokos so...
The rest is dispursed.

Los Osos, CA. A small, nice community between L.A. and the Bay Area. Apparently the first Filipinos to step foot in America landed here (Morro Bay)
